Dr. McDonnell is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Medicine.  Following an internship at Denver Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center, she completed her dermatology residency training at the University of Iowa College of Medicine.  In addition, Dr. McDonnell is certified by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons.

Dr. McDonnell's professional interests include skin cancer screening, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and alopecia. She offers a wide array of cosmetic and surgical procedures including Botox Cosmetics for wrinkles, Restylane, Radiesse, Perlane, Evolence and Juvederm.

Societies Dr. McDonnell is professionally affiliated with include the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, Colorado Dermatologic Society (past President), Iowa Dermatologic Society, Arapahoe Medical Society, and Colorado Medical Society.

Dr. McDonnell has four teenage children, three daughters and one son.  She enjoys spending time with her family skiing, hiking, traveling and a huge supporter of her children's athletic and academic endeavors.  In her spare time she is an avid runner.  With her family, she has competed in the Boulder Bolder along with several other local races including half marathons and marathons.
